Yes! Our program serves children with disabilities, including chronic health conditions and disabilities that require significant support.
A child will not be denied enrollment into the Head Start program if they are not potty trained. Head Start staff will work with parents/guardians to teach toileting skills to children. Toileting skills will be based on individual needs, family customs, and beliefs. Our schools and centers have limited laundry facilities, so soiled clothing will be sent home.
Currently, our Early Head Start Program does not provide transportation services.
Transportation may be available upon request for Head Start children in the Edgewood and San Antonio Independent School Districts. Parents/guardians in need of transportation must meet the school district’s eligibility requirements.
After you complete your online application, you will be contacted by a member of our staff to gather more information and complete your application. Once your application is completed, it will be reviewed and finalized. If your child qualifies for services and is deemed eligible your child’s name will be placed on a waitlist.
